Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) Intermediate
A multi-tiered system of support or MTSS is a framework utilized to ensure all students receive access to the instruction and support that they need without delay. (AIM) in order to access the general education curriculum. IDEA 2004 (300.172)
requires that textbooks and related core instructional materials be provided to
students with print disabilities in specialized formats in a timely manner. Participants
in this session will learn what AIM is and the eligibility requirements for a
student to access materials through AIM. Participants will also learn about
some sources available through accessible instructional materials and the roles
and responsibilities of those who support students who would qualify and
benefit from AIM. (1 hour)
