Registration Questions

Do I need to register to access the courses?

Yes, you must register to access the courses. Go to registration page. Provide your email, first name, last name and password to register.

After registering, you will receive an email from the system summarizing your registration information.

How do I login?

Once you've registered, you can login at any time using your email and password. You can login from this page.

If I forget my login information, should I create another account?

No, you should create only one account and use it for all the courses. Your account saves information about your course usage and certificates in one place. If you create multiple accounts this information will be scattered and you may have to repeat courses or portions of courses to get your certificates.

I forgot the password I used to register. How do I recover it so I can login?

Use this page to recover your password. Provide your email (the one you used to establish your account) and the system will email you a reminder with your password.

I registered with my email and PaTTAN ID, but I don't have a password. What is my password?

Your PaTTAN ID is your password if you registered before September, 2010. The registration and login system has recently changed to allow you to use any password you choose instead of your PaTTAN ID. If you are not sure what your password is you can have your password emailed to you by submitting the email you used to register on this page.

Email Questions

I didn't receive an email from the system after registering and/or completing a course.

The emails from our system are either getting caught up in your spam filters or are being blocked by your internet service provider. Check your spam folder. If you don't find our messages there, then it's likely that emails from our system are being blocked. Also, make sure that you sign up for your account with a valid email that you have access to.

We strongly recommend "white listing" emails coming from framewelder.com and frameweld.com to ensure that all messages from the system get through to you.

Many school district email systems will block email messages and send a verification email. They require a reply to the verification email in order to allow emails from the system through, but there is no way for the system to respond to messages of this kind. The solution, again, is to white list emails coming from framewelder.com and frameweld.com.

How do I white list emails coming from framewelder.com and frameweld.com?

This will vary depending on your provider. Contact your internet service provider or your administrator for help.

Certificate Questions

How do I get my certificate after completing a course?

Once you have completed a course, the system will verify your usage and assessment submission then send you an email with a link to your certificate of attendance. This can take up to an hour after completing the course. For a few users, usually on slow connections, the verification can take up to a day.

The email with your certificate of attendance will be sent to the email address you used to sign up for the courses.

I didn't get an email with my certificate. Is there some other way to access my certificates?

Yes! The certificate page has an archive of all the certificates you have earned for the courses.

What do I need to open and print my certificate(s)?

Your certificate is generated as a PDF. To open, view and print PDF files you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader. You can download the software for free from Adobe.

Video Questions

Do I need a plug-in to watch the video in the courses?

Yes, the courses require the Adobe Flash Player, version 9 or higher. If you have an older version of the Flash Player, the page will prompt you to update your Flash plug-in before you can watch the video. You can download for free the latest version of Flash Player here

The video won't play.

See the above question and answer. The Adobe Flash Player, version 9 or higher, is required.

The video plays but stops and starts.

Most likely you are accessing these courses on a slow connection or are experiencing network congestion. The videos are encoded at 275kbps and should run smoothly on any broadband connection. On slower connections, the video will play once the buffer fills up, play for a while, and again pause as the buffer refills.

Assessment Questions

Why can't I access the assessment for a course?

You can access the assessment after you watch the entire presentation.

If you have not watched the presentation yet, watch the full presentation. At the end of the video a notification will appear directing you to the assessment.

If you have watched the full presentation, you can access the assessment from the certificates page.

Why does it say the assessment is not available?

After you watch the full video presentation the assessment will be made available to you.

I completed watching the presentation, but I didn't take the assessment. How can I access the assessment?

Go to the certificates page and select the assessment listed as incomplete for the course.

I completed the assessment, but it did not give me a certificate of attendance. When do I get my certificate?

Once you have completed a course, the system will verify your usage and assessment submission then send you an email with a link to your certificate of attendance. This can take up to an hour after completing the course. For a few users, usually on slow connections, the verification can take up to a day.

The email address with your certificate of attendance will be sent to the email address you used to sign up for the courses.

The status for my assessment says waived. What does that mean?

You received a certificate of attendance for this session before an assessment became required for this course. You do not need to take the assessment for courses you completed before
